Explore the fun of air dry clay in two 90-minute classes! Each student will receive their own block of clay to create miniature works of art that can be used as keychains, magnets or just decorative objects. Our main focus will be slab and tile work. Students will learn to roll out the clay, and how to cut basic shapes and forms. If time allows we will go over basic sculpting skills for beads and jewelry. Any leftover or unused clay will be theirs to take home!
Students will make several creations from air-dry clay on day 1 and leave them in our studio to harden. When they return for day 2, they will be able to paint their creations. We then seal each piece for a waterproof and durable finish that is also food safe. All pieces are hand-wash only and should never be put in the dishwasher or microwave.
